If you’re well acquainted with Uppercut Deluxe then chances are you’ve heard of Pat Capocci before. If not, allows us to refresh your memory.
Pat is local to the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia, and has been a Lifestyle Ambassador for the brand for many years now. His talent? Well there’s a few to list. Pat’s an accomplished musician of international acclaim, a surfer and bad ass barber who worked for many years with the good folk at Captain Sip Sops in Manly.
The lovable lad is also a damned hard worker. In the space of two months Pat; got married, played a number of gigs at home, interstate, and overseas and threw in a the ‘small task’ of opening his own barbershop.
Flying Tiger Barbershop opened the doors of its Freshwater location in early May 2017. A Full Service three chair shop nestled in an alley way in the laid-back streets of Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The shops specialises in traditional men’s haircuts and grooming services, a true reflection on Pat and his affinity with all things timeless.
To mark the occasion, Flying Tiger hosted a get together of the Northern Beaches finest, including Uppercut Deluxe Ambassador and Sydney shredder Matty Chonjacki as well as fellow teammate TJ Guzzardi.
TJ had made the journey from Melbourne to help Pat kit out the shop with a few murals on the walls, and painted some Uppercut Deluxe logos on Pat’s three chairs. Despite the onlookers and passers by and delivered his usual standard of precision craftsmanship.
The crowd embraced the true spirit of the barbershop, exchanging tall stories over a drink or 12. With the night wrapped up Matt, Pat and TJ reconvened at the shop the next morning to show TJ the local area. But not before inhaling a few coffees.
Matty had just registered his ’56 Single Cab Split Screen Kombi and the boys took to the streets in search of waves. Did they find any? Well no, but they came away with some rad shots nonetheless. (Check them out below)
Congratulation to Pat on the opening of an epic Barbershop and if you find yourself on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, be sure to drop in for a fresh cut.
