Only a team of truly talented barbers could keep London’s Christmas shopping crowds looking sharp. Uppercut Deluxe ambassadors Chris Brownless of North West Barber Co. and Luke Dolan of Luke’s Barber Shop joined forces with Johnny’s Chop Shop to create the ultimate popup barbershop in the middle of one of London’s busiest shopping districts. The event took place at the flagship Topman store on Oxford Street, drawing in crowds of people eager to get their hair cut and styled by some of the best in the business.
Chris and Luke have decades of experience in traditional men’s grooming between them. Luke favours more traditional cuts such as pomps, whereas Chris specialises in creating classically sleek, swept-back styles. In combination with the team from Johnny’s Chop Shop, Oxford Street shoppers were treated to the skills and expertise of some of London’s best barbers.
Johnny’s Chop Shop is located within the Oxford Street store, allowing customers to update their hair and wardrobe in one convenient location. It was an ideal spot for Uppercut Deluxe to raise brand awareness with a popup barbershop, giving new consumers a chance to see what we’re all about.
The barbers created a range of classic, modern and traditional hairstyles on the day, providing their services totally free of charge. Over 100 Uppercut Deluxe samples were handed out, along with plenty of other freebies, allowing consumers to check out some of the latest Uppercut products. Our signature hairstyling range proved especially popular, with patrons eager to try all the different products for themselves. The event was a resounding success, with people queueing up for over an hour for their chance to score a new do from Luke, Chris and the team from Johnny’s Chop Shop.
