Uppercut Deluxe was stoked to join forces with AONO at the Be Street Weekend 2014. More than 15,000 people headed to the festival to check out live performances, concerts, DJ sets and art creations – and get a haircut from the AONO barbers!
The Festival Vibe
Held in Paris, the Be Street Weekend is all about urban culture and has become the meeting point of the European industry. Creative players of all genres head to the festival to check out the cultural scene and see what other influencers are coming up with. It’s a cultural lifestyle event we just couldn’t miss!
The Be Street festival has a huge following, and was the perfect opportunity for Uppercut Deluxe and AONO to check out the local market, catch up with industry crew and check out the great style that’s so prominent in the French capital.
The Uppercut Deluxe/AONO stand certainly drew a crowd and was by far the busiest stand there. It makes sense – the barbering scene is growing in Paris, which is an iconic fashion city. Looking sharp is very French.

Behind the Scissors
Taking their barber’s scissors to many eager festival fans locks was the incredible Paul Hewitt (@aonoxxx), Brad Cowan (@hbad) and Khalil Malamug (@razorsharpchief), who cut and styled over 70 festival goers’ hair. What an effort!
It was an exciting opportunity for both Uppercut Deluxe and AONO to check out the French barbering industry and grow the brands within barbering globally. Thanks to AONO for doing such an amazing job of repping the Uppercut Deluxe brand, and getting our products into the hands of so many Be Street fans.
