Sadly, every epic journey must come to an end at some point. Following a few crazy days travelling along the Eastern Australia coastline from Byron Bay, through Coffs Harbour, Newcastle and Gosford, it seemed only fitting that our Barbersdownunder tour finish up in the bright city lights of Sydney…at Tommy J’s shop in Redfern.

Arriving into Sydney late in the day, we took our 3 Global Barber Ambassadors for BIG night on the town until the early hours – dinner at the Ivy, beers in the CBD at Frankies, before ending up at some Chinese Karaoke bar. No disputing it, Dane Hesse has the voice of an angel.

With sore heads the next morning, the boys headed into Tommy’s shop for a day on the tools, guest spotting to some select VIP’s we invited along. A particularly big thank you to all those folks that came along – Luke B, Beau U, Nick V, James B, Jonny N, Chris H, Simon C – hope you had as much fun as we did.

After countless cuts, shaves and trims throughout the day, our friends at Bulleit Whiskey popped along to the evening party at the shop and with Taylor Swift cranking, set about pouring some mega spiced cocktails. Some seriously fun times ensued. Check the #barbersdownunder hashtag on instagram for more. Enough said.

And with this final instalment, the curtain comes down on the most fun project we’ve probably ever had.

Barbersdownunder has started something – something big. Something that everyone who was involved, is immensely proud of. Something that Uppercut Deluxe will continue doing in the future.

This whole trip was about one thing – we wanted to show the world what barbering means to us – fun, with friends. Mission accomplished.
